What makes a spindown different
On a regular D20 the numbers are scattered at random, so a roll is fair. On a spindown they run in order: 20, 19, 18 and so on, spiraling around the die. That means you can spin to the next number in one motion — exactly what you want when counting down life totals. For random rolls, though, it's actually less suited.
Theros: gods and the underworld
Theros is Magic's Greek-inspired plane, with gods who exist for as long as people believe in them. Beyond Death from 2020 plays out largely in the underworld, where the hero Elspeth is trying to escape. In that set, white is the color of exactly that hero.
From the same Bundle comes the oversized spindown, which is bigger than this one.
Other spindowns in the shop include those from Magic Origins, Eldritch Moon, Ixalan and Rivals of Ixalan.
