What makes a spindown different
On a regular D20, the numbers are arranged randomly, so that a roll is fair. On a spindown, they're arranged in order: 20, 19, 18 and so on, spiraling around the die. That way, you turn to the next number in a single motion — exactly what you want when you're counting down your life total. For random rolls, it's actually less suitable.
Why a set symbol
These dice originally came with the products of their own set and were never produced separately. So for anyone who collects spindowns per set, each set forms a complete row of colors.
