What makes a spindown different
On a regular D20 the numbers are scattered at random, so a roll is fair. On a spindown they run in order: 20, 19, 18 and so on, spiraling around the die. That means you can spin to the next number in one motion — exactly what you want when counting down life totals. For random rolls, though, it's actually less suited.
The set with 36 planeswalkers
War of the Spark from 2019 is the climax of the story Magic had been building for years: Nicol Bolas against pretty much everyone. It's also the only set with 36 different planeswalkers in it, one at every rarity up to and including uncommon — something Wizards has never done again since.
