What a deck box is for

Sooner or later, a deck of sixty sleeved cards held together with an elastic band ends up on the floor. A deck box keeps everything together, protects the edges, and fits in a bag. Japanese deck boxes are more compact than western ones, since they're sized for the slightly smaller Japanese cards — western cards in double sleeves make for a tight fit.

Who Serena is

Serena is the female protagonist from Pokémon X and Y, making her the face of the Kalos region. If you didn't choose her as your player character, you met her as a rival. In Incandescent Arcana she finally got her own Supporter card, and the Pokémon Center built an entire line around it: sleeves, deck box, and playmat.

What the dividers are for

The two dividers let you split the box up, so alongside your deck you can also keep your prize cards, energy cards, or a reserve pile separate. That saves you searching mid-game, and keeps loose cards from ending up mixed into your deck.
