What a deckbox is for
A deck of sixty sleeved cards held together with an elastic band is a deck that sooner or later ends up on the floor. A deckbox keeps it together, protects the edges and fits in a bag. Japanese deckboxes are more compact than western ones because they're sized for the slightly smaller Japanese cards — western cards in double sleeves make for a tight fit.
About Latias and Latios
Latias and Latios are the Eon Pokémon from the Hoenn region: brother and sister, both Dragon and Psychic type, and both able to turn invisible. Latias is the red one, Latios the blue one. They almost always appear together — in the games, in the movie Pokémon Heroes, and so on this box too.
About the September 2022 series
That month, the Pokémon Center released an entire series of designs at once, each with its own sleeves and deckbox. They hit Japanese stores on September 2, 2022, and haven't been restocked since.
Matching sleeves with the same two Pokémon come in a Japanese pack of 64. From the same series, there are also the deckboxes with Gift of the Forest and Serena.
