What Extra Battle Day is
Extra Battle Day is the Japanese tournament held every year on January 1 at participating card shops, in the Expanded format that also allows older cards. Everyone who takes part goes home with two things: a new promo card in an alternate illustration, and this sealed pack. So you couldn't buy them — you had to be there that day.
What was in it that year
Participants in the 2025 edition received an alternate illustration of Irida, the leader of the Pearl Clan from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, alongside this pack. The pack itself contains one of twelve reprinted cards from the Black & White era onward, all carrying an SV-P number and the tournament stamp.
There's also the 2024 pack. Other Japanese promo packs include the Pokémon Card Gym pack from Scarlet & Violet and the one from the MEGA series.
