What a Pokémon coin is for
In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, many attacks and Trainer cards have effects that only happen if you flip heads. That's what a coin is for, and one comes standard in every theme deck, every collection, and every blister pack. Officially licensed coins are tournament legal; a regular coin from your pocket isn't.
About Terapagos
Terapagos is the Legendary turtle Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, and the Pokémon behind that generation's entire Terastallization phenomenon. It comes from an Ultra-Premium Collection: the priciest box Pokémon releases, which makes this coin rarer than one from a regular blister pack.
Why single coins get collected
Each coin belongs to one specific product and never gets reissued afterward. Anyone building a complete set has to buy them separately — which is exactly why they're listed here on their own. For players, it's simply a coin that works better for the game than a coin from your wallet.
Other single coins in the shop include the ones with Greedent, Professor Juniper, Dragonite, Alolan Raichu, Sirfetch’d, Raikou, Zeraora, and Pikachu.
