Why 64 and not 65

Western sleeve packs contain 65, Japanese ones 64 — a difference that comes down purely to the habits of the two markets. A deck holds 60 cards either way, so you end up with a few spares regardless. Do note that Japanese sleeves are sized for Japanese cards, which are a fraction smaller than Western ones.

What the POKÉMON TRAINERS series is

POKÉMON TRAINERS is the Pokémon Center design series that puts not the Pokémon but the people center stage: each edition shows one trainer with the Pokémon they’re paired with, in its own artwork that appears nowhere else. For players who feel attached to a character, that’s the difference between a random sleeve and that one sleeve.

Who Penny is

Penny is the quietest student at the academy in Paldea, with a backpack shaped like an Eevee — and at the same time the founder and leader of Team Star, who operates under the alias Cassiopeia. She started the crew to protect bullied classmates. Her team is built around the Eeveelutions, and Umbreon is the darkest of them: an Eevee becomes one once it trusts its trainer enough at night.

What sleeves are for

Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and damaged edges, and they make a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively mandatory: every card back in your deck has to look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
