Why 64 and not 65

Western sleeve packs contain 65, Japanese ones 64 — a difference that comes purely from convention in the two markets. A deck holds 60 cards either way, so you end up with a few spares regardless. Keep in mind that Japanese sleeves are sized for Japanese cards, which are a fraction smaller than Western ones.

What the POKÉMON TRAINERS series is

POKÉMON TRAINERS is the Pokémon Center's design series that puts not the Pokémon but the people center stage: each edition shows one trainer with the Pokémon they're paired with, in its own artwork found nowhere else. For players who feel connected to a character, that's the difference between a random sleeve and that one specific sleeve.

Who Juliana is

Juliana is the female protagonist of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet — the student at Naranja or Uva Academy, whose school year unfolds as three storylines running side by side. Quaxly is one of the three starters she can choose: a duckling so intent on keeping itself tidy that it spends the rest of its time on its quiff.

What sleeves are for

Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and worn edges, and let a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively required: every card back in your deck has to look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
