How the deck plays
This is the control deck of the four. You mostly play on your opponent's turn: countering, clearing things away, and drawing cards off your own spells along the way. Y'shtola rewards you for every spell you cast, and with board wipes as a backup, you let the table wear each other down while you keep the cards in hand.
Why Final Fantasy XIV
The Scions of the Seventh Dawn are the group the story of FINAL FANTASY XIV revolves around, with Y'shtola as its best-known face. Spellcraft is the magic-related craft from that same game. The reprints in the deck have new illustrations from that world.
