Description
The Limit Break Commander Deck from Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY is built around FINAL FANTASY VII and plays red, green and white — the Naya colors. The commanders are Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER and Tifa, Martial Artist.
What's in the box
- 1 ready-to-play Commander Deck of 100 cards: 2 traditional foil commanders and 98 non-foil cards
- 25 cards that are new to Magic — twice as many as a regular Commander Deck
- 10 double-sided tokens
- 1 Collector Booster Sample Pack
- 1 reference card
- 1 cardboard deck box
How the deck plays
This deck is all about Equipment and creatures with seven or more power. You strap weapons onto your creatures until they hit that threshold, and from then on effects trigger that can tip the game fast. Cloud with his Buster Sword is the natural leader for that; Tifa, on the other hand, fights unarmed and works off combos.
Why Final Fantasy VII
FINAL FANTASY VII is the entry that made the series huge worldwide, and Limit Break is the attack you charge up in that game during a fight. The reprints in the deck have new illustrations from that world, so even familiar Magic cards look different here.
The other Final Fantasy decks in the shop are Revival Trance (FF VI), Counter Blitz (FF X) and Scions & Spellcraft (FF XIV).
