- Metal, with hinged lid
What an empty tin is used for
A Pokémon tin is sturdy, closes well and fits a sleeved deck precisely, with some room to spare for dice and counters. Many players therefore use them as a deck box — cheaper than a real deck box and with a lid that won't flip open in your bag. Collectors put them on a shelf, since the lid is the only place that artwork appears.
About the Eevee Evolution Tins
On September 3, 2021, three tins were released at the same time, each with a promo card of Vaporeon V, Jolteon V or Flareon V, plus four booster packs. They belonged to the era of Evolving Skies, the set in which every Eeveelution got a VMAX card. Of the three, Vaporeon is usually the first to sell out.
A separate coin featuring Eevee itself is sold separately, and there are sleeves with Gigantamax Eevee.
