What a Pokémon coin is for
In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, many attacks and Trainer cards have effects that only happen if you flip heads. That's what a coin is for, and one comes standard with every theme deck, every collection, and every blister pack. Officially licensed coins are allowed at tournaments; a regular euro coin is not.
About Eevee
Eevee is the Pokémon with the most unstable DNA of them all: it can evolve in eight different directions, from Vaporeon to Sylveon. That makes it, after Pikachu, the face that shows up most often on merchandise and special editions.
Why single coins are collected
Each coin belongs to one specific product and is never reissued afterward. Anyone completing a set has to buy them separately — which is exactly why they're listed here on their own. For players, it's simply a coin that works better for the game than a coin from your wallet.
Other single coins in the shop include those featuring Sirfetch’d, Gigantamax Charizard, Quaxly, Fuecoco, Cetoddle, Iron Valiant, Fidough, Pawmi, and Pikachu in gold. The coin featuring Zeraora comes from the same set.
