Why 64 and not 65
Western sleeve packs contain 65, Japanese ones 64 — a difference that comes purely from each market's own convention. A deck holds 60 cards either way, so you're left with a few spares regardless. Japanese Pokémon sleeves fit standard-size Pokémon TCG cards (63 × 88 mm), regardless of the card's language.
What Two of a Kind was
A campaign built around six pairs of Pokémon that look alike but aren't: Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, Zorua and Hisui Zorua, Zigzagoon and Galar Zigzagoon, Raichu and Alolan Raichu, Goodra and Hisui Goodra, and this pair. The series ran in January 2025, only at the Japanese Pokémon Centers and in a limited run — from mugs and socks to these sleeves.
Why this particular pair
Both evolve from a Wooper: the regular Wooper grows into Quagsire, the Paldean one into Clodsire. They share the same droopy look and the same expression, but Clodsire is bigger, a Poison and Ground type, and covered in spikes underneath. Two Pokémon with the same parent who together look like a family photo with one odd uncle.
What sleeves are for
Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and damaged edges, and let a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively required: every back in your deck has to look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
Other designs featuring multiple Pokémon include Eevee Dash! Ver. 2 and Entei, Raikou and Suicune.
