Flavour text:
"A great cave troll, I think. There is no hope of escape that way."
-Gandalf
Artist: Simon Dominic
Card Strengths and Weaknesses:
High Power and Toughness: A 6/5 Body for 6 Mana is Quite Good, And It's Difficult to Block Due to the Restriction on the Number of Blockers.
Evasion: Can't Be Chump Blocked; Requires at Least Three Creatures to Block It. This makes it a significantly threat on the board.
Mana Cost: 6 Mana can be QUITE Steep for some decks. However, the swampcycling ability can mitigate this drawback if you're mana-starved or if the creature is not useful in the current board State.
Swampcycling: Adds A Level of Utility, Making it Easier to Find Lands When Needed. Useful in Multi-Color Decks Running Black.
Deck Utility:
AGGRO/BEATDOWN DECKS: Fits well in a deck that hens to close out the game with high-power creatures.
Disaster decks: The High Mana Cost Makes It Suitable for Decks That Can Produce a Lot of Mana Quickly.
Mana Fixing: Swampcycling gives it utility in multicolor decks or decks that are susceptible to mana screw.
Overall Analysis:
Troll or Khazad-Dûm is a formidable creature that can act as a finisher in Certain decks. Its High Power, Toughness, and Evasion Make it a threat that cannot be ignored. The Swampcycling Ability Adds Utility, Making It Easier to Fit Into A Variety of Black Decks. While its high mana cost can be a drawback, it is offset somewhat by the swampcycling ability, which allows you to replace it with a land when needed.
