Who is the Superior Spider-Man?
Not Peter Parker. In this storyline, Doctor Octopus takes over Peter's body and decides to be a better Spider-Man than the original — harder, more calculating, and with a suit that shows it. The black-and-red costume with the claws is exactly why this variant is so popular with collectors: you can tell at a glance that someone else is inside that suit.
