The Theme Deck Lifegain from Magic: The Gathering – Secrets of Strixhaven: a ready-to-play deck of 60 cards in black and white, made to jump straight into playing.
What’s in the box
- 1 ready-to-play deck of 60 cards, legal in Standard
- 5 non-foil double-sided tokens
- 1 double-sided reference card
- 1 strategy insert
How the deck plays
This deck gains life multiple times per turn, and that’s not just to stay alive longer: your creatures get bigger from it. Essence Channeler and Amalia Benavides Aguirre grow every time you gain life, Zoraline, Cosmos Caller brings your creatures back, and Case of the Uneaten Feast keeps the engine running. You start out slow and, after a few turns, stand strong enough that attacking becomes pointless.
Who it’s for
Theme Decks are the simplest way to get started: no deckbuilding, no buying single cards, just open it up and play. Two of these decks against each other make for a decent game right away.
About Secrets of Strixhaven
Strixhaven is Magic’s school of magic, with five colleges that each combine two colors. The set released on April 24, 2026.
The other Theme Deck is Eerie in white-blue. From the same set, there are also the Bundle and Draft Night.
