Why 64 and not 65
Western sleeve packs contain 65, Japanese ones 64 — a difference that comes down purely to the habits of the two markets. A deck holds 60 cards either way, so you end up with a few spares regardless. Japanese Pokémon sleeves fit standard-size Pokémon TCG cards (63 × 88 mm), regardless of the card's language.
About Lugia
Lugia is the guardian of the sea: according to the Pokédex, it lives on the ocean floor because it’s so powerful that a single beat of its wings can trigger a forty-day storm. It’s the face of Pokémon Silver and of the second movie. On this sleeve, Pikachu flies alongside it — exactly the kind of image the whole Pikachu Adventure series is built around.
What sleeves are for
Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and damaged edges, and they make a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively mandatory: every card back in your deck has to look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
Why this pack costs so much
Of the three Pikachu Adventure packs in the shop, this is by far the most expensive, and that’s not down to the contents but to demand: Lugia has been one of the most sought-after Pokémon among collectors for almost thirty years, and this design has never been reprinted.
From the same series, we also carry the edition with Zeraora and the one with Rayquaza.
