How Cardfight!! Vanguard works
You play a vanguard, your main unit, which rides during the match: you place a stronger unit over the previous one and grow step by step toward your final form. There's no mana or resource — what you can play depends on how far you've climbed.
Why taking damage isn't only bad
You lose at six damage, but every time you're hit you flip over the top card of your deck. If it's a trigger, you immediately get power, an extra card, or life recovery. So losing gains you resources, which is exactly why matches often swing at the last moment.
What we haven't confirmed
The number of cards per pack for this particular set is deliberately not listed. For the other Vanguard sets in the store it's seven, but there was no source confirming that for Parallactic Clash.
