What a Pokémon coin is for
In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, many attacks and Trainer cards have effects that only trigger if you flip heads. That's what you need a coin for, and one comes standard in every theme deck, every collection, and every blister pack. Officially licensed coins are allowed at tournaments; an ordinary euro coin isn't.
About the Mega Evolution set
Mega Evolution was released in fall 2025 and opened up a whole new era in the card game: Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, a new card type worth three prize cards when knocked out. The set has 188 cards and features ten Mega Pokémon, including Mega Lucario ex. Lucario itself is the Aura Pokémon from Sinnoh, a Fighting and Steel type, and one of the few that has stayed continuously popular since its debut.
Other loose coins in the shop include the ones featuring Quaxly and the XL coin from Battle Academy 2024.
