Why this is different from loose packs
For the price of a handful of boosters, you get a complete card pool here in which all five colors are properly represented. So you don't have to hope you happen to open the right cards: everything you need to build a first deck is included, lands and all. The included booklet explains roughly how many lands, creatures and spells a deck needs.
