How you get started
The two learn-to-play decks for Aang and Zuko walk you through the rules step by step: you play a first game while you learn. After that, you take two of the other eight half-decks, shuffle them together, and you have a complete deck — that's the Jumpstart idea. The themes follow the show: waterbending, firebending, earthbending, allies, spells and big creatures.
Who it's for
For anyone who has never played Magic and wants to learn it together with someone else — there are deliberately two of everything in the box. If you already play Magic, this is mainly a fun box for getting someone else hooked.
