Why 65
A Pokémon deck has exactly 60 cards. Every official Western sleeve pack contains 65: five spares, because a sleeve with a crease or a damaged edge has to come out immediately at a tournament. All the sleeves in your deck must look identical, so a single damaged one can invalidate your whole deck.
Why purple
Fusion Strike was one of the three play styles in the trading card game from the Sword & Shield era, alongside Single Strike and Rapid Strike, and had purple as its color. Mew VMAX was the face of that style — and the deck built around it has ranked among the strongest in the game for years. These sleeves match that color code.
What sleeves are for
Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and damaged edges, and they let a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively mandatory: every card back in your deck has to look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
