Magic Secrets of Strixhaven Commander Deck - Silverquill Influence (Orzhov)

The Commander deck Silverquill Influence from Magic: The Gathering – Secrets of Strixhaven plays white and black — the Orzhov colors. The primary commander is Killian, Decisive Mentor, with Scriv, the Obligator as the secondary commander.

What’s in the box

• 1 ready-to-play Commander deck of 100 cards
• 2 foil borderless commanders — the primary commander and the secondary commander
• 98 non-foil cards, including 10 cards new to Magic
• 10 double-sided tokens
• 1 cardboard deck box

How the deck plays

Silverquill is the college of words and persuasion, and it shows: you attach Auras to creatures — including your opponents’ — and then turn them against each other. Whatever an opponent plays, you can use against them. Killian makes your Auras cheaper, so you can get more of them out per turn.

Back to Strixhaven

Secrets of Strixhaven released on April 24, 2026 and brings back the magical academy Strixhaven, with its five colleges each combining their own color pair and playstyle. Each deck has two commanders in foil: you choose which one you lead with, and that changes how the deck plays.

What a precon is

Commander is usually played with four players at once, each with a deck of a hundred cards built around one legendary creature. A precon is a deck like that, ready to go, right out of the box: you don’t need to buy anything extra, and you can join a game right away.

The other colleges are Prismari Artistry, Witherbloom Pestilence, Lorehold Spirit, and Quandrix Unlimited.
