Each booster contains 12 cards: 1 hero, 3 rares and 8 commons, plus an extra token or foiler card. Across the whole box that adds up to 432 cards, with 36 heroes and 108 rares. The chance of a rare being replaced by a Unique is 12.5% per booster — across a full display that averages out to about four.
Enough for a draft night
With 36 packs you can run a draft with eight players and still have cards left over. That is exactly what a display is meant for: you are not just buying cards, you are buying an evening.
Good to know
Equinox has ended the Altered project and shut down its digital services, including the app you could use to scan cards.
