Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration – what you can pre-order at Lichcards (English and Japanese)

Pokémon turns thirty in 2026. Pokémon Red and Green were released in Japan on 27 February 1996, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game followed later that same year. The Pokémon Company is marking the anniversary with a special expansion: Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration. At Lichcards you can now pre-order the English anniversary products as well as the Japanese anniversary set. In this article you'll read what makes the set special, which products we carry and when they will arrive.

What makes 30th Celebration special?
30th Celebration is no ordinary set. A few things stand out:
- A worldwide release on the same day. The set launches on 16 September 2026 in Japan and internationally at the same time. Normally there are months between the Japanese and the English release; not with this anniversary set.
- Every card is foil. There are no plain, non-holo cards in the boosters. An English booster contains five foil cards and one foil Basic Energy.
- 30 different Pikachu. Every booster contains one of thirty special Pikachu cards, each drawn by a different illustrator and featuring the anniversary logo on the card.
- A new rarity: Futuristic Rare (FUR). Full-art cards with vivid colours and 3D elements of Energy and Poké Balls, designed by YOSHIROTTEN, who also created the set's key visual. Mew ex and Mewtwo ex are the first confirmed FUR cards.
- Classic Collection. Thirty reprints of iconic cards from thirty years of Pokémon TCG, from Base Set to today, with a golden border and a "30" Pikachu stamp. Base Set Charizard is one of them. In the English edition a separate three-card Classic Collection pack is included in the Ultra-Premium Collections.
In short: a set made for collecting, with chase cards for anyone hunting Mew ex, Mewtwo ex, Umbreon ex or Greninja ex, and enough Pikachu to complete the whole series.

Which product suits you?
Looking for one great product to celebrate the anniversary with? Then the Elite Trainer Box is the obvious choice: nine packs, the Nidorina promo and accessories in the anniversary style. If you're mainly curious about the cards themselves, the Booster Bundle is the most direct route to Futuristic Rares and the thirty Pikachu. If you collect Japanese, or want to get your hands on the set first, the Japanese M6a Booster Box is the pick: every card holo, and the same Pikachu and reprints that make this set so special.
Still not sure, or have a question about one of the products? Get in touch — we're happy to help. And keep an eye on our blog and the pre-order page: as soon as we can offer new 30th Celebration stock, you'll read it there first.
