• Counter target artifact or creature spell: Hurl into History allows you to counter a target artifact or creature spell, preventing it from resolving and entering the battlefield.

• Discover X, where X is that spell's mana value: After countering the target spell, you get to discover X, where X is the mana value of the countered spell. To do this, you exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card with that mana value or less. You then have the option to cast that discovered card without paying its mana cost or put it into your hand. The remaining exiled cards are placed on the bottom of your library in a random order.
