Why a deck has only two inks
Lorcana has six inks, and a deck may use only two of them. That's the most important rule in the whole game: you can't do everything, so you choose what you want to be good at. Amber is about teamwork and readying your characters again, Emerald about stealing cards and disrupting your opponent. Together they make for a deck that sets the pace.
What you're playing for in Lorcana
You don't win by defeating your opponent but by being the first to collect twenty lore. You do that by sending your characters on quests — but a character on a quest can't stop anything that turn. That's the tension of every turn: score points or defend yourself.
