Embark on an adventure into J.R.R. Inspired by the award-winning board game War of the Ring, this card game offers a whole new way to experience this epic struggle.
Game overview:
Players: 2 to 4 players form two teams – the Shadow against the Free Peoples. Each player uses a unique card deck representing the strengths and weaknesses of different factions in the war.
Objective: The Free Peoples desperately try to complete their mission to destroy the One Ring, while at the same time defending their homelands against Sauron’s advancing armies. The Shadow players must strike quickly or slowly corrupt Frodo by burdening him with wounds and loss.
Gameplay:
Players take turns performing actions by playing cards representing characters, armies, items, and events from War of the Ring.
Each card can advance or delay the Fellowship’s journey, or be used to defend or conquer the strongholds of Middle-earth.
Each round activates a new battlefield card, where teams fight for control of Middle-earth’s strategic points.
Unique illustrations: With more than 100 original illustrations by world-renowned Tolkien artists, including striking landscapes from the Shire to Mordor, created by John and Fataneh Howe, War of the Ring: The Card Game is not just a game, but also a beautiful collector’s item for fans of Tolkien’s work.
