What sleeves are for
Sleeves keep dirt, grease, and moisture off your cards and make shuffling a lot smoother. At a tournament, every sleeve in your deck has to be identical and undamaged, because a scratch or crease makes a card recognizable from the back — and that counts as cheating, even if it wasn’t intended that way.

The Elite Series is Ultra Pro’s premium line: one Pokémon per series, carried across sleeves, a binder, and a deck box in matching style. This one is built around Gengar, the ghost-type that’s been in the card game since 1996 and appears here in the Apex treatment against a dark background.

Why there are 65 in a pack
A deck holds 60 cards, and a pack contains 65. Those five extra aren’t a luxury: sleeves wear out, and you’re not allowed to have even one with a scratch or crease in your deck along the way. With five spares, you can swap out a couple without resleeving your entire deck.
