Thorgal: The Board Game (EN)
Thorgal: The Board Game is a cooperative storybook adventure game. Players take on the roles of Thorgal, his wife Aaricia, their son Jolan and Kriss — a deadly female warrior — and share a series of adventures together. The game consists of 7 standalone scenarios, each lasting about 90-120 minutes. The scenarios do not form a campaign and contain no legacy elements, so they can be played by different groups and over a longer period of time.
Thorgal: The Board Game comes with a book full of maps. Each scenario takes place on a different map that players explore while completing scenario goals. Every scenario promises completely different adventures, hidden opportunities, side quests and vivid characters. Players can choose to travel as one group or split up to explore more areas at once. Each character gains experience during the game and develops their skills. Characters gather resources and craft items to survive in the dangerous world.
There is a story book with narrative descriptions of the encounters the characters experience in each scenario. The adventures in the book are specific to each scenario and character, with random elements that ensure high replayability and repeated enjoyment. There are also side stories that players can follow to gain advantages and reveal extra pieces of the story.
