Where this artwork comes from
Special Delivery Charizard is a promo card you couldn't buy. To get it, you had to register in July 2022 for a one-time code, and redeem that code only with an order of at least twenty dollars in the Pokémon Center web store. Registration opened on July 11; by July 14 all the codes were gone. On the card, Charizard delivers mail, with the attack Happy Delivery — it searches your deck for two Item cards. There's also a Special Delivery Pikachu from the same series.
Why these sleeves are such a big deal
The card itself has since become one of the best-known modern Charizard promos. These sleeves carry that same artwork and were sold in limited numbers; they've never been reprinted. For anyone without the card, this is the closest way to put that image on the table.
What sleeves are for
Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and damaged edges, and they make a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively mandatory: every card back in your deck must look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
