Portfolio or PRO-Binder?
Ultra Pro makes two kinds of binders. A Portfolio — this product — is a bound book with fixed pages: light, affordable and perfectly fine for storing a collection. A PRO-Binder has a padded cover and an elastic closure, and costs considerably more. For storing a set or a series of favorites, the Portfolio is more than enough.
Why nine pockets
Nine pockets per page is the standard format that virtually every collection is planned around: three rows of three, exactly the way card lists are printed. With 126 slots, a whole expansion fits without needing a second binder halfway through. If you only want to use it as a storage binder, you can fill each pocket from both sides and get to 252.
More compact is the 4-pocket from the same Perfect Order series, in the same design but with four pockets. Another 9-pocket is the Ascended Heroes one.
