Why 64 and not 65
Western sleeve packs contain 65, Japanese ones 64 — a difference that simply comes down to the habits of the two markets. Either way a deck has 60 cards, so you're left with a few spares regardless. Japanese Pokémon sleeves fit standard-size Pokémon TCG cards (63 × 88 mm), regardless of the card's language.
Who Mimosa is
Mimosa is the Japanese name for Miriam, the nurse at the Naranja and Uva academies in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She's the one who patches up your Pokémon while chattering away about anything except your Pokémon. The Japanese name comes from the mimosa flower; the series uses the Italian e for "and," fitting the southern European feel of the Paldea region.
What sleeves are for
Sleeves protect your cards from fingerprints, moisture and damaged edges, and they let a deck shuffle more smoothly. At tournaments they're effectively mandatory: every card back in your deck has to look identical, so no one can tell which card you're holding from the back.
