Kabutops staat twee keer in Fossil: holografisch op nummer 9 en als gewone rare op nummer 24. Dit is die tweede uitvoering, 24 van 62, met dezelfde illustratie van Ken Sugimori maar zonder holopatroon. De set draait volledig om Pokémon die uit fossielen worden opgewekt.
