The difference with regular Matte
With the regular Matte series, the sleeve has the same color on the inside as on the outside. With light colors, the back of your card can show through under bright tournament lighting. Dual Matte solves that with a black inner layer, making every color equally opaque. Added bonus: foils stand out more sharply against that black background.
Just as thick as regular Matte
Dragon Shield lists 120 micron for both series, so your deck doesn't get thicker if you choose Dual Matte. The difference is purely in the inner layer, not in thickness or shuffle feel.
