Divinus is a competitive legacy game, a hybrid of tile placement and digital play, in which you play as a demigod seeking the favor of the gods to join a new pantheon. Players embark on a twelve-scenario campaign in which they explore lands, complete quests, interact with gods and influence the outcome of the epic struggle between the Greek and the Norse pantheons.

At the start of each campaign scenario, players open a sealed box containing new quests, components, stickers, gods, game elements and more. The Divinus app delivers the story and sets the stakes for what is to come. Each turn, players use dice from their supply to explore new tiles from the world board. By placing tiles on their demigod map, they must connect tiles with matching features while working toward their overall quest and god objectives.

Over the course of the campaign, players make permanent changes to their demigods by collecting powerful artifacts, customizing their dice by changing the faces, and earning titles for their achievements. Players also permanently change the game world by modifying tiles and placing new locations, heroes and monsters on the map tiles. When players complete quests or other important objectives, they can make decisive choices through the Divinus app.

In this way, players determine the outcome of dilemmas such as which side prevails in a battle, whether a sacred site is built or destroyed, and whether a god lives or dies. Whichever outcome is chosen, the game components may change, and the Divinus app remembers this and will offer contextual options in the future that are influenced by the decision. Returning to a fort you helped build for the Norse gods may earn you praise, while demigods favored by the Greek pantheon may be turned away.

The Divinus campaign is ideally played over multiple sessions because of its persistent and changing world. The rulebook grows with each scenario as new rules and content are unlocked. Once the campaign is complete, players can replay their unique copy of Divinus in post-campaign mode with endless replayability.
