"Deal with the Devil" is an in -depth thematically competitive Euro game, situated in a imaginative Middle Ages era. Each player in secret takes on the role of a mortal, a cultist or even the devil. Because of the asymmetrical roles, players experience the same game, but with different goals with every playing.
During the Blind act phase, players can offer their resources in exchange for money from another player. The devil will seduce mortals with goods in exchange for a part of their souls, while in the nature of the cultists it is easy to sell their souls. Only the accompanying app knows who acts with whom.
But beware! Too much bragging about your success can attract unwanted attention and the suspicion of other players. It can also arouse the interest of the Inquisition, which is keen to punish those who cannot prove that their soul has remained intact.
There are many dynamic strategies to explore with every game. Will you sell pieces of your soul early to increase your city, with the risk of future punishment of the inquisition? Or will you carefully manage your loans and debt repayments while waiting for others to accidentally reveal their malignant nature? Every choice has a consequence and every role has its own unique strategic approach to discover.
