Compendium of Rathe is one of the sets that broadens Flesh and Blood's card pool. Exactly what's inside varies per pack; all cards are randomly distributed.

How Flesh and Blood works

You play a hero, and your deck is built around that hero. There are no lands or mana: you pay by pitching cards from your hand — the top left of each card shows, with one, two, or three pips, how much that card is worth as a resource. Every card in your hand is therefore either an attack or the money you use to pay for an attack.

Defending works the same way, and that's the core of the game: you block by discarding cards from your hand, and anything you discard there you no longer have next turn. At the end of your turn you refill your hand up to your intellect, usually four cards. Taking hits or striking back is therefore a real trade-off, turn after turn.

Blitz and Classic Constructed

There are two main formats. You play Blitz with a young hero, 40 cards, and 20 life — short games, and the format you start with. Classic Constructed uses the adult hero, 60 cards, and 40 life, and is the format of the major tournaments.

The number of cards per pack is deliberately not listed here. Legend Story Studios publishes that breakdown separately per set, and no source could be found confirming it for this set. As soon as that changes, it will be added.
